Since Larger Visions was founded, it has been dedicated to empowering women leaders and combating gender-based violence.

Full-Time Staff:

Kate Siner Francis, Ph.D.

Founder and Director: Dr. Siner is a psychotherapist, writer, and educator who has been practicing integrative psychotherapy and holistic success coaching in the Providence area since 2005 through her private practice — now called The Therapy Collaborative. She earned her Ph.D. in Psychology and a certification in Expressive Arts from San Francisco’s Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center in 2008 — under the mentorship of Eugene Taylor, Ph.D — after nearly 15 years of self-learning and practice of alternative approaches to growth and development. These methods include massage, energy work, shamanic techniques, EMDR techniques, and hypnosis. Dr. Siner has worked in addictions treatment and hospice care as well as received advanced training in domestic violence, grief, and trauma. For the past three years, she has been director and co-facilitator of Priestess Path — a women’s empowerment program founded by Alisa Starkweather — and studying Core Energetics under Karyne Wilner, Psy.D. Dr. Siner has now turned her attention toward the issue of gender-based violence and founded the Larger Visions non-profit to address these issues.


Members of the Board:

Beck Francis: served as a board member and chairman of Lippitt Hill Tutorial, a volunteer organization that provided in-school tutors to students the Providence school system. Have served as a director of a family owned telecommunication company and several of its subsidiaries since the early 2000’s and as chairman of the holding company’s  Dividend Committee. Have served as chairman of the family council since 2004.

Irene Bryan: Irene is a Licensed Psychologist, Core Energetic Therapist and Graduate from Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela.  She has over thirty years of clinical experience dealing with clients with mental illness and emotional imbalance in a variety of settings; Hospitals, community clinics, prisons and private practices.  Working with the intention to provide opportunities for underprivileged population and awareness to all. Currently a member of the Core Energetic Institute Faculty, she has held teaching appointments at Harvard University, Boston University and Cambridge College.

Janet Chilton: Janet is a professional meeting facilitator with a masters degree in psychology. She has more than 30 years of experience, education, and training in meeting facilitation, with a grounded understanding of human behavior, group dynamics and participatory decision making.



Larger Visions is founded on the belief that violence against women can no longer be tolerated. 

It is estimated that 1 in 3 women globally are affected by gender-based violence, including atrocities such as rape, forced marriage, genital mutilation, inadequate healthcare, and human trafficking. 

Larger Visions is dedicated to helping others overcome and transform gender-based violence through providing leadership grants, safe-house programing, and outreach education programs.

Mission

The central purpose and role of Larger Visions is to educate and support emergent women leaders dedicated to social change as well as provide effective outreach programs for victims of gender-based violence.
